What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Data Insights team. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple responsibilities including data manipulation in SQL, developing models in Python, and communicating technical results to nontechnical audiences. All of these responsibilities are intended to drive our business forward by improving the customer experience of our diverse product suite. This position will require strong technical skills, including exploratory data analysis, data visualization, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling. The Data Scientist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, data engineering, marketing, and sales to provide insights and support to drive product innovation and growth. 

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Collect and analyze data from multiple sources, including internal data sets and external data sources, to generate insights that will improve our business
  • Clean, process, and prepare data for analytical needs
  • Interpret and summarize technical results to non-technical business stakeholders
  • Triangulate ambiguous business problems with available data to recommend potential analyses or solutions
  • Collaborate on the design, development, and implementation of machine learning algorithms
  • Devise and maintain data pipelines to manipulate/clean/transform/prepare data for analysis
  • Devise and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate results to cross-functional teams  
  • Devise and integrate data validation and verification processes to ensure and monitor data quality
  • Set accurate targets for new product or feature launches
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science, machine learning, and AI
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data pipelines, data analysis, and data models  
The Skills You Bring :
  • Passion for working with big data
  • Understanding of equities, options, and futures markets
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
  • Experience querying and manipulating data in SQL
  • Data visualization skills, preferably using PowerBI, Looker, Sigma, or Tableau
  • Data mining, machine learning, time series modeling and forecasting
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion
Minimum Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science
  • 1-3 years of related experience in a data related role
Desired Qualifications :
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience using Databricks or Snowflake to perform data queries, manipulation, and basic analysis
