Job Summary

The Forensic Nurse Examiner is responsible for responding and offering medical-forensic services to patients of all ages who present to a covered facility with reports of sexual assault/violence. The role involves conducting medical-forensic exams, providing mentorship, and guidance in patient care.

Education and/or Experience

• Prefer 2 years nursing experience in Critical Care/ED/ Women's Center or prior SANE experience.
• Tele-health experience preferred.
• Completion of clinical SANE training; individualized based on experience.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and the neurobiology of trauma preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Dakota or meeting enhanced Nursing Compact Licensure (eNLC) requirements is required.
• Successfully completes 40-hour didactic training (adult/adolescent) with an IAFN-recognized SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) training program.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $32.00 - $46.50 per hour. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
